Message from the Chairman
By Billy Thompson, All Star Movers
I would like to begin by wishing everyone a belated
Happy New Year. I hope you’re excited for the New
Year and sticking to your resolutions! At the
Chamber, we’ve resolved to try even harder to get
you the information needed for the growth of your
business. To accomplish this, we have entered an
agreement with the Connection Newspapers
to publish The Enterprise every two weeks. I
hope you caught the first edition last month.
Publishing more often will allow our membership to
keep up-to-date on upcoming events, member
benefits and news, and other newsworthy items in
the Vienna-Tysons community.
Plans are already beginning for our Annual Casino
Night, to be held be held Saturday, April 1 at
Westwood Country Club. If you've ever been on the
Casino Night committee, you know the benefits of
helping with this event. Sponsorships and prize
donations are now being accepted the committee
needs more help! Email
casino@vtrcc.org to volunteer.
In March we will be kicking off our membership drive
which culminates with the Sip and Sample Mixer April
25 at Meadowlark Gardens. We need Team Captains
and volunteers to help make this a success. Last
year we had a record breaking drive and the goal this
year is to set new records. To get involved with the
membership drive, contact our “fired-up” Membership
Chair Jim DiModica at 703-396-8205, ext. 100.

What Are You Missing?
Former astronaut Thomas D. Jones, PhD captured the
attention of members and guests at VTRCC’s 2/9
lunch at Bistro 123. Dr. Jones signed copies of his
book, SKY WALKING: An Astronaut’s Memoir,
for dozens of attendees, like United Bank’s Amelia
Toten. The frank and jargon-free memoir of Jones’
work as an astronaut in the 1990s has been
called “an unusually expressive contribution to the
spaceflight genre.” (Photo by Cook's Photo-Art
