Message from the Chairman
by Billy Thompson, All-Star Movers
As Chairman of the Vienna-Tysons Regional Chamber
of Commerce it always excites me to see members
doing business with members. Recently I have been
aware of many instances of business development
through Chamber relationships. I have seen deals
involving real estate, mortgage, title, business
coaching, office supplies, investing, car sales, and
the list goes on. As I look at the people developing
business through the Chamber I am not surprised
with their successes. These successful people share
the commonality of being active in the Chamber.
This fall, we all have the opportunity to copy what
these successful people do! In addition to attending
our regularly scheduled mixers and luncheons, these
business people are active through our events, as
sponsors, committee members, volunteers and/or
attendees. September 7-10 we are having our
Carnival at Nottoway Park (Carnival Committee
Chair: Former VTRCC Chair Bob Stemetzki, The
Burdette Smith Group, CPAs). The Golf Tournament
will begin at 8am on 9/18 at the Hidden Creek
Country Club in Reston (Golf Committee Chair: Tana
Keeffe, Long & Foster Realtors). The Annual Vienna
Halloween Parade will be on Wednesday October 25
(Parade co-chairs: Rebecca McKeever, Courtyard by
Marriott, and Rebecca Diamond, Tysons Dodge
Jeep).
If you want to be like the successful members of the
Chamber, contact a committee chair and get
involved!
