CrisisLink, the greater Washington region's only 24/7 crisis, suicide and trauma prevention, intervention & response hotline, is seeking volunteers to take calls and respond directly to individuals in need.   • Front Desk Receptionists - Front Desk Receptionists are responsible for answering the phones, greeting visitors, and assisting residents. Current openings are Tuesdays from 8:00 am - 10:00 am, Wednesdays from 8:00 am - 10:00 am, Thursdays from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, and every other Friday from 8:00 am - 10:00 am. I am happy to set your schedule to accommodate your availability.
  • Wednesday Evening Bingo Caller - Adults here have been asking for more fun programs so we would like to start a weekly Bingo Night for them! Bingo would take place every Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:00 pm and all we need to get this activity off the ground is a Bingo Caller! If you are interested in facilitating this fun program and can start immediately, please let me know!
  • Children's Resource Room Attendant - In order to keep the kids at the shelter active and engaged, and to give their parents a needed break and the opportunity to participate in our adult classes, we are in need of more Children's Resource Room Attendants. These volunteers look out for the happiness and well-being of up to 4 young residents at a time. Our most critical needs are from 7:00 - 8:00 pm on Sundays and from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesdays. Other needs include Monday and Friday evenings as well as Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
  • Kid's Night Activity Leaders - The Katherine Hanley Family Shelter is in need of four adult volunteers to facilitate our Thursday evening Kid's Night activity or to coordinate a group that comes in to run the activity. For this position we prefer a commitment of every Thursday from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. We would also like to offer more structured activities for the kids on other days, so please contact me if you have this interest but are not available on Thursdays.
