Tip groups are associations of Chamber members that meet regularly to exchange business leads (tips) and to form associations. Operating under the principle that people like to do business with people they know, tips groups allow their members to network with a wide variety of professions. Stop by to share leads and network! VTRCC offers two Tip Groups for its members:

Lunch and Leads group (Tuesday & Wednesday afternoons)
12:15-1:30 p.m.
Shula's Steak House
(in the Tysons Corner Marriott, 8028 Leesburg Pike)
No cost to attend, pay for your own lunch

TIP Group Guidelines/Structure

To ensure maximum efficiency, individual accountability and mutually beneficial business building relationships the following guidelines have been set in place for Tip Groups to follow.

Becoming a member:

• Must attend three consecutive meetings
• Be on time
• Be an active participant in group discussions

To remain a member:

• Attendance required at most meetings (4 missed meeting in 6 month period will result in outplacement from the group)
  • You may send a stand in (i.e. associate) in your place – not counted as a missed meeting
• Be on time (30 min tardy or more = 1 absence, 8 tardies in 6 month period will result in outplacement from the group)
• Each meeting pass one quality referral (will be tracked by official slips) or
  • Attend a one hour lunch meeting with a group member or
  • Attend a chamber function (i.e. mixer, lunch, lunch & learn) or
  • Bring a guest/potential new member

Once a member:

• Enjoy exclusivity (no one else from the same field will be accepted)
• Recognition (at chamber functions, in group, in Enterprise, group brochure)
• Relationship building (know who you’re doing business with)
• Quality referrals (from members who know you)
• Build your business
• Chamber cards
